The Flu

Roger has the flu. He has asked for no pictures of him with the flu. So I will honor his wishes on that one.

He has just been laying on the couch since Friday. We have moments where we think he might be all better, but an hour later he feels terrible again. We are hoping this is over soon.

Since Roger was sick it meant we couldn't make the trip to Knightdale this weekend. Which meant I had to miss the wedding shower the church was having for my brother and Sara. So trying to put a positive spin on all of that I decided to take advantage of having a full weekend at home and decorate for Christmas. All that is left is going to get a tree right after Thanksgiving and decorating it.

Vegas

This past week Roger had a conference on diabetes in Las Vegas...so I thought why not tag along. We got there Wednesday night, had dinner and met up with friends who were also there for the conference.

For the conference they put us up at Lake Vegas Ritz Carlton.

Thursday morning Roger went off to conference (I had the camera with me, so no con

ference pictures.) While Roger was in conference on Wednesday and Thursday morning, I sipped coffee, went to the gym and worked out, and went to the spa for my first facial.

Thursday evening, Liz, Ashlee, Roger and I went out for Sushi. It was fun and delicous!

The conference ended on Friday at noon so we left the Ritz where the conference had been and headed over to the Vegas Strip. On our way there we stopped for our first ever In and Out burger. It definitly lived up to its reputation!

Friday afternoon we walked around the strip (Roger and the girls had their picture taken with Elvis) and then we went to our casino and played a little black jack. Then we went to the see the cirque de sole show, KA. I know Roger was just being nice by going to the show with me, but we both LOVED it. It really was amazing! We would recommend it to anyone.

Matt Got Married

My (Renn's) brother, Matt married his fiance Sara on Oct 19th. Matt told me a few weeks before that him and Sara were going to Costa Rica to get married and that I wasn't allowed to tell anyone.

I'm so excited! Our family LOVES Sara and are so excited that she is part of our family now.

Here are some of the pictures of the wedding....GORGEOUS! Costa Rica was already on my list of places to visit..but now I've moved it up higher on the list

They got back from Costa Rica Saturday. My family had Sunday lunch with Sara's family at her mom's house. She made a really good lunch, and we had a lot of fun looking at wedding pictures and making them cut another cake.

This past Friday night, my parents had a dinner to celebrate at Foster's in Raleigh. The food was delicious, and we all had a lot of fun catching up and celebrating Matt and Sara

Halloween/Weston

This year Roger was working Halloween and I came home for a party for my brother (i'll post that next). While I was here I was going to go see Weston play soccer. I dressed all up and was excited to be his #1 Fan, but the game got rained out.

I am thinking about staying dressed like this, and just being Weston's #1 fan for halloween this year.

Renn's 10 Year High School Reunion

This weekend was my 10 year high school reunion. The weekend started with meeting up with old friends at our high school homecoming game. It was also fun because I got to see my cousin Emily on the homecoming court. She's a senior and looked beautiful.

Our original plans for Saturday didn't work out so plan b was to meet at a local restaurant to hang out and catch up with everyone. We had a great time. My favorite part, was when everyone went around and told their name (needed the reminder) and what they were up to now. This provided some really interesting moments. Then we mingled and took pictures.

Quick ECU Trip

This past weekend we had a very quick trip to Greenville, NC for an ECU game.

Roger had to work a high school football game here on Friday night, so we left after that and got to Knightdale to spend the night around 2:00 am. We got up Saturday morning and ate breakfast with my family. Then we went to Greenville. We made the rounds to see some friends. We didn't get to see everyone, and the friends we did get to see, it wasn't for long enough. And I have no idea why we didn't take pictures while we hung out and tailgated. It was funny though, tailgating has changed. When we caught up with Roger's college friends, they told us to meet them at the play ground. When we got there they were all pushing their cute kids on the swings. It was not like I remembered tailgating in the past, and we laughed about that. Even though it was too short it was really great seeing everyone.

After tailgating we watched the pirates win...YAY!! The Coopers, who are Roger's best friend from med school, Chris's parents, and whom we love got tickets for us, so we got to sit with them during the game and catch up. That was great too, but we did miss Chris .

Overall, it was too short, it was cold, but it was a lot of fun, and ECU won!
